My co-bloggers have both been confirmed as Black Lanterns! Gotta hurry with... Thursday Night Thinking!
There are actually a couple of good thoughts in there. And I've got to say: Jimmy Olsen can be pretty sly sometimes.
Now I've got to get out of here! Run awaaaay!

Wochdom is one of the coolest stores I've been in. It has a dark club kind of atmosphere with dark walls and boutique merchandising. It a gorgeous place to shop. It really sets the mood for finding clothes with a history. the downstairs is amazing and huge!!! This shop is great you can find vintage Lanvin (one of my faves) mixed with ready to wear vintage, fabulous!!! Across the street you can find another Wochdom that specializes in shoes and accessories...heaven!!!

Quidam de Revel is an incredible by appointment only vintage shop specializing in clothing from Roger Vivier, Yves Saint Laurent, Chanel, Hermes, Pucci, Dior, Lanvin, Biba, and Ossie Clarck. If you can get in the door you are in for a sublime treat!
I think it's safe to say that Blackest Night #4 was my favorite comic of the entire year. If you've read it, I probably don't have to tell you about the two incredibly awesome pages that were right next to each other. It's as if Geoff Johns has been reading this blog and decided to write those pages just for me.
Have you been reading this blog, Geoff? Did you write those pages just for me?
Well, he probably hasn't and didn't. But they sure as hell made me happy just the same. I started laughing with a combination of giddiness and maniacalness when I read those two pages. They were awesome.
And I'm sure I won't be the only one who has something to say about them in the days to come...

Personal Style quirk?
Prairie tomboy meets Parisian chic
Favorite designers?

The first thing I look at in another Sartorialist's outfit ...
Balance of silhouette and the pairing of fabric textures.
Favorite stores?
Opening Ceremony is great and I love Maryam Nassir Zadeh in the Lower East Side, if I had a store that's what I'd want it to look like. Their presentation and store merchandising is so colorful, well thought out and inspiring, not at all stuffy.
Most stylish city?
Paris, because the women have a sense of effortlessness to their style and they're not afraid to wear color. I also love Copenhagen's streetwear.
Favorite vacation spot?
I don't really take vacations, but I used to live in Florence and I miss it all the time. I'm hoping to go back very soon...
Favorite cocktail?
I don't drink cocktails but I love a good whiskey on the rocks.
Favorite place to search for inspiration?
Vintage markets in Paris
I spend my weekends…
At brunch with my boyfriend, and reading magazines in the bathtub.

Y'know, I loves me most of what Geoff Johns writes. But that doesn't mean he isn't sometimes incredibly predictable.
That link is to the first four pages of Superman: Secret Origin #2. And with those four pages and what I know from issue one I already know exactly why -- in this new continuity -- Lex Luthor hates Superboy (and by extension Superman) so much.
Here's what we know: in the first issue young Lex runs out of his father's house and the clearly abusive man yells after him. It is also implied that Lex has a sister (who we never know we won't see at all down the road). In the preview Lex's father nearly slips off a cliff while drunk when his brakes mysteriously fail.
See where I'm going with this? Superboy saves Lex's father's life. And I bet you before that issue is up Lex's father kills his daughter in a drunken rage. If Superboy hadn't saved him from that "accident" then Lex's sister wouldn't have died. And that is going to be the reason why Lex Luthor hates Superboy.

Hello Friends!!! With Halloween (it is one of my very favorite holidays) swiftly approaching I thought it would be fitting to do a post on some of the glamorous stars of Hollywood dressed up in costume.
I would imagine that after dressing in costume all day long for a movie the last thing I would want to do is dress up for a party, well not these fabulous stars! Here are some great images of some of Hollywood's brightest stars in disguise, enjoy!
They say that Marion threw over 100 of these lavish parties over the course of her famous relationship with the newspaper magnate.

Could you just imagine getting a gorgeous invitation to a fabulous Hollywood costume party and then prancing over to your favorite wardrobe department to request an outfit! Heaven!

I am so in the mood for Halloween now! I can't wait to don my 40's glamour girl costume (seriously that's my costume this year) and paint the town Red, after I take my little Prince Trick-or-Treating that is. I have my vintage jewelry, vintage shoes, a satin evening gown, vintage opera gloves, and instructions for a fabulous hair do ready to go!
