NPNN! Not Particularly Nerdy News!
See folks, whether I really intended it or not: This is a Nerd Blog. I'm a Nerd, so I write about what I know and what I like--Most of my readers are Nerds, so I write about things I hope will interest them.
But sometimes things of a less than nerdy nature will capture my interest and practically beg me to blog about them. Thus: NPNN!
Tonight's story: You folks seen this?
This is a J Crew ad that was sent in a mailer to thousands of consumers. Now, if you're a rational person, you're probably wondering not only what it's doing on my little Nerd Blog, but why it's ANYWHERE but in the J Crew ad it was made for.
If, on the other hand, you work for CNN, MSNBC, Fox News, or any of the major network news affiliates, then you see a vital debate on either a potential threat to the sexual identity of our children (WON'T SOMEONE PLEASE THINK OF THE CHILDREN?!) OR, an exploration of the growing phenomenon of juvenile transvestitism--depending on the slant of the outlet you work for.
Shut up...Seriously--newspeople everywhere: Just. Shut. The. Fuck. Up! Please!

See, I'm not here to pick a side and join the debate--I'm here to say that anybody who would consider this a subject WORTHY of debate is fucked in the head: There are no winners in such an argument, only two different flavors of losers.
Imagine someone trying to start a debate on whether water is wet. There are only two possible responses: Either you're a rational person who knows water is fucking wet, or you're a delusional psychotic. So if you enter the debate: You're either mentally disturbed...or worse--the kind of person who would attempt to ARGUE with the mentally disturbed!
Yeeeah...that oughtta just about do it: I don't wanna give this non-issue any more press than necessary.
